I am so proud of my neice Tameka Morrow’s involvement with student education. She spend numerous hours per day preparing her young children with reading and writing skills. She is to be commended on her support of the Heath Springs Elementary School. Best of luck with future endeavors.

This is crazy, what ever happened to getting a child to a main road to be picked up by the bus. We want a full spring break. There are nothing wrong with the roads to Indian Land, maybe we need to do a school by school assessement.

I’m glad they were closed. I think they should be closed Friday also. Myself and my children cannot even walk outside to our van without falling. Just because primary roads are open and dry doesn’t mean that secondary ones are. Our road is slick, icy and we only live 1 mile from the school.

I still can’t get my car out of the driveway and it’s late Thursday afternoon. I doubt things will be better early Friday morning.

I comend the school for making that decision. My daughter doesn’t ride the bus but where we live I really don’t believe that a bus could come down our road safely. People need to realize that if the roads are in bad shape and the school makes the decision to have school and kids were to get hurt then the liability lies on the school. Just be thankful that the school is looking out for the children and not just an education.

Please give us an idea as to when the makeup days for this week will be. I feel sure the Mondays now scheduled off in February and March will have students in school, but would like to have word from the District ASAP.
