Indian Land resident Melvin Stroble will be sworn-in Feb. 21 as the new school board member for District 1.

The swearing-in will take place at 5:15 p.m. during a drop-in honoring Stroble.

The drop-in will be from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the school district office.

Stroble will complete the remaining year and a half of the District 1 term that is left because the previous representative resigned in December.

Stroble will face re-election in November 2018, if he chooses to run again.
