Pacing Guides
What are Pacing Guides?
Pacing guides are documents that detail when a specific standard should be taught or assessed.
Pacing guides allow teachers flexibility in how to deliver their content standards while keeping instruction across the district at roughly the same place at the same time.
Pacing guides allow teachers to collaborate when they plan and share resources.
Common pacing allows students to transfer throughout the district without instructional gaps.
Our district teachers and educational specialist work together in committees to interpret the standards provided by the State. These committees determine the most appropriate ways to group standards into units and how to pace them by six weeks grading periods.
