A.R. Rucker Middle transitions to virtual learning

At this time, Rucker is experiencing a severe shortage of staff. We have 16 staff members excluded from school. Because we are so short-staffed, it limits our ability to respond to possible emergencies that may arise. To ensure our students and staff are as safe as possible, we are transitioning to an online learning model for all Rucker students until February 12th. All instruction will be virtual until February 12, 2021. February 15, 2021 is a district wide Professional Development Day for teachers and no students will attend. We also have 26 students excluded from school.

In addition, all activities/practices are cancelled. Again, this is precautionary, because we have so few staff available.
A Day students will resume face-to-face instruction on Tuesday, Feb. 16th. B Day students will resume face-to-face instruction on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Meals will be available for pick up from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the bus loop of A.R. Rucker Middle School on Friday, February 5th and 12th. The parent will need the student’s PowerSchool ID number in order to receive the food bag.

As always, the safety of our students and staff is paramount. Thank you for understanding and for your unwavering support of A. R. Rucker Middle School. Stay safe Rams!!
