Teacher selected for week-long seminar

Third grade North Elementary teacher Jane Hudson was one of only 12 teachers in the state chosen for the Strategies for Teacher Advancement and Renewal (STAR) seminar.
The seminar was created in 1994 to both recognize and reward a handful of outstanding teachers from all over the state.
Over the course of the week-long seminar, teachers take part in idea exchanges, inspirational speakers, networking and the beauty of Seabrook Island near Charleston.
Teachers who’ve attended in the past say they re-enter their classrooms renewed, re-energized and full of new ideas.
It’s sponsored by the Foundation for Professional Development and Palmetto State Teachers Association.
