Students earn state recognition for their test scores

Four of our students qualified for state recognition in the Duke TIP Scholars program this year.
To earn this honor, these students had to score at least 21 on one of the four areas of the ACT or 520 on the SAT Math and 510 on the SAT Critical Reading or 510 on SAT Math and 500 on SAT Critical Reading.
“We certainly commend these students for the commitment to learning that these kind of scores represent,” board chair Bobby Parker said during the Trustees Awards presentation during the May 19 board meeting. “We congratulate them, their parents and their teachers on their achievement.”
