Two 13-year perfect attendance students recognized

May 31, 2017
Two of this year’s graduating seniors – Andrew Jackson High student Katelynn Cassie Victoria Hannah and Lancaster High student Tanner Mitchell Knight – had perfect attendance from kindergarten through 12th grade and have earned district and state recognition for their accomplishments.
“We congratulate these students on never missing a day of school in 13 years,” superintendent Gene Moore said. “Attendance is a key to success in school and in any career, and the fact that these students understand the importance of ‘being on the job’ says a lot about their determination and their commitment.”
The students received congratulatory certificates from state superintendent of education Molly Spearman and will receive Trustees Awards at the June 28 board meeting.
