Wins International Officer of the Year, Club Member with Most Service Hours

          The Lancaster High Chapter won an impressive 21 awards in both state and international competitions overall, including awards to individual member.

     The Chapter – advised by teacher Richard Gay – also won both the 2018 S.C. and International Club of the Year – the 28th time this chapter has won Junior Civitans Club of the Year.

     And that’s not just for South Carolina. It’s the International Club of the Year.

     They swept the S.C. awards for Junior Civitan Environmental Project of the Year, the On-Going Project of the Year, the Community Project of the Year, the Campus Project of the Year, Collection Selection and the Most Service Hours.

     The club also received International Awards for On-going Project, Environmental Project and Honor Club.

     “We are very proud of this chapter and appreciate such dedication by the club and Mr. Gay.

          Individual Junior Civitans club members also earned honors and were elected to international and state offices. The district awards are for South Carolina as a whole.

     Senior Alex Barton was elected Junior Civitan State Secretary and won Best Club President.

     Senior Jacob Cato won International Junior Civitan Club Officer of the Year, SC Junior Civitan Club Officer of the Year and was elected SC Junior Civitan Governor.

     SeniorRyan Knight won District Officer of the Year and was elected Deputy Governor.

     Senior Connor Parman won Junior Civitan of the Year and was recognized for putting in the most service hours. Conner had more than 400 service hours. He was also elected District Public Relations Coordinator.
