Andrew Jackson High transitions to virtual learning

At this time, Andrew Jackson High School is experiencing a severe shortage of faculty and staff. There are 10 staff members excluded from school. Because the school is so short-staffed, it limits the ability to respond to possible emergencies that may arise.

To ensure students and staff are as safe as possible, Andrew Jackson High is transitioning to an online learning model for all AJHS students until Monday, December 14th. All instruction will be virtual until December 14th. There are also 14 students excluded from school, and five positive COVID cases in the school.

In addition, all activities/practices are canceled. Again, this is precautionary, because there are so few staff available.

A-Day students will resume face-to-face instruction on Monday, December 14th.
B-Day students will resume face-to-face instruction on Wednesday, December 16th.

Meals will be available for pick up from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the basketball ramp at AJHS on Friday, December 11th. The parent will need the student’s PowerSchool ID number in order to receive the food bag.

As always, the safety of our students and staff is paramount. Thank you for your understanding and for your unwavering support of Andrew Jackson High School.
