Buford Elementary transitions to virtual

Buford+Elementary+transitions+to+virtual

At this time, Buford Elementary is experiencing a severe shortage of faculty and staff due to COVID-19. Because we are so short-staffed, it limits our ability to respond to possible emergencies that may arise and the coverage of classes.

In addition, a cafeteria worker has tested positive for COVID-19, and due to quarantines, we do not have workers to prepare meals for the upcoming week. We are so short-staffed, it limits our ability to respond to possible emergencies that may arise and the coverage of classes.

To ensure our students and staff are as safe as possible, we are transitioning to an online learning model for all Buford Elementary School students until January 4, 2021. All student’s instruction will be virtual until January 4, 2021. The Winter Holidays will be December 23, 2020 – January 1, 2021.

At this time, students will resume face-to-face instruction on Monday, January 4, 2021. Meals will be available for pick up from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Buford High School on Friday, December 18, 2020. No meals will be served during the Winter Holidays.

As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and for your unwavering support of Buford Elementary. If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher
