The health and safety of all LCSD students and staff continue to be of utmost importance.   In an effort to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus and facilitate safe participation in in-person learning, sports and other extracurricular activities, the LCSD has partnered with TruCare to provide free COVID-19 testing. Testing is optional and will not be administered to students without parental consent. Registering for student and staff testing is quick and easy. Please click on this link: tc24.co/LSD . You will only need to complete this form once and your student(s) may test as often as you choose at any of the locations listed below. Test results will be emailed to the email address you registered with.

Testing will be performed for:

• Students and staff experiencing symptoms of COVID-19
• Students and staff testing to shorten quarantine time
• Routine testing for students and staff who are not experiencing symptoms
• Routine asymptomatic testing for student-athletes

Beginning Monday, January 24, free rapid testing will be offered weekdays at the Lancaster Multipurpose Building. TrueCare will have staff on-site from 12 – 4 p.m. to administer rapid tests. Registration is still required! This will be the only testing site. TESTING SITES WILL BE CLOSED WHEN SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED.

To register Children

• Children must have their own email addresses. You must first create one for them and then individually register them using the steps outlined above.
• Test results will be emailed to the email address you registered with.
• This is how they will be able to view their results and approve consent privacy policy and terms of service.

Reminders:

• Testing Sites will be closed when schools are closed
• Parents must accompany their student(s) to the test site.
• LCSD staff must bring a photo ID.
• Rapid testing will be performed by TrueCare staff. The test involves a shallow nasal swab. The nasal test is not painful and does not use the longer swab that reaches higher into the nose. Results will be available within 15 minutes.
• You will receive an email to the email address you registered with or text directly from the lab with the results when they are processed in the system.
• Masks must be worn at all times while at the test site – no exceptions. You will not be tested if you are not wearing a mask.
• Social distance of 6 feet must be maintained while at the test site.
