”The result was an improvement on the result March 10 at Lancaster Golf Club, when Great Falls recorded a 40 point win,” Indian Land coach Doug Young said. ” Whittaker, Holcomb, Morris and Skeen all shot season bests. The first foursome, with the #1’s and #2’s in it, played stellar golf, with a number of birdies.”
Coach, Doug Young also noted that the Warrior team is young, with one senior, four sophomores and one eighth grader.
”They improve every day,” Young said. “We expect to be a force at regions in May.”
Coach Young went on to thank Edgewater Golf Club, which is hosting the team this year.
”After Carolina Lakes at Sun City’s management terminated its link with us, we needed a place to play,” Young said. “Edgewater was very generous in letting us use its course and facilities. The course is a fabulous layout, which helps our players improve their game.”
Indian Land’s next match is away at Chester High School March 24.
