Three standout football players were selected to play in the 67th Annual North-South All-Star Football Game during Fall 2014.
• Lancaster High senior wide receiver Jay Hood, who finished had seven catches for 82 yards and a touchdown this fall. Jay had 45 catches for 747 yards and eight touchdowns during his career.
• Indian Land High senior punter/kicker Shea Rodgers, who kicked 21 extra points in 21 attempts this year and kicked seven of the nine field goals he attempted this year, with his longest at 50 yards. Shea scored 42 points over the season.
Shea also had 30 touchbacks on kickoffs this year and averaged 37.4 yards a punt.
Shea was named Class AA Upper State Specialist of the Year by the S.C. Football Coaches Association.
• Andrew Jackson High senior quarterback Kolby Whitley, who completed 455 passes for 6,108 yards during his career. Kolby also threw for 66 touchdowns, with only 18 interceptions out of 963 pass attempts.
Kolby had 1,189 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.
Kolby was named All-Region for three years and was named 2014 Tri-County Player of the Year and Lancaster County Player of the Year.
