Rivers helps lead Bruins to state title, undefeated season

     Lancaster High junior guard Malia Rivers was named to the 2014-15 Class AAA All-State Girls Basketball Team.
      “We’re so proud of your success on the court,” board chair Bobby Parker said during the Trustees Award presentation at the April 21 board meeting. “We all look forward to watching you play your senior year.”
     For the season, Rivers averaged 15.9 points a game with 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.4 steals.
     She was honored as the Region III-AAA Girls Basketball Player of the Year and helped lead Lancaster High to the region title with a 10-0 record and the State Championship and an undefeated season.
