“We know you’ll represent our district well, as you already have,” board chair Bobby Parker said during the Trustees Award presentation during the May 19 board meeting. “I know you’re proud of your accomplishments on and off the field. We’re certainly proud of you.”
Rodgers’ and Szustwal’s play led the Warriors to a 11-5 season and the Upper State Championship.
Rodgers and Szustwal are both headed to Newberry College on scholarship – Szustwal for soccer and Rodgers for football.
Rodgers was also selected as an All-Star in football, making him only the second athlete in Warriors history to do so.
