Complaints from spectators at games prompt regulations

August 28, 2018
Spectators complaining about drones flown recklessly at football games prompted the school district to establish regulations to make sure drones are used responsibly and that people who operate drones follow Federal Aviation Administration rules and regulations.
“We always want to do all we can to keep our students, staff and visitors safe,” superintendent Jonathan Phipps said. “We can’t ignore the potential for a drone flown improperly to put people and property at risk. These regulations will help us do what we can to protect people on our property and protect accidental damage to our property or the property of other people visiting us.”
