Lancaster County School District is proud to celebrate the outstanding academic growth and achievement of our students during the 2024–2025 school year. Lancaster County School District represents excellence in education and is pursuing the vision of becoming the premier district in the state by providing access to grade level standards and high quality materials, and strong teacher-led Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) emphasizing the well-being of both students and staff. This success is the direct result of the collective effort of every teacher, administrator, and staff member across K–12 who work each day to ensure that all students have the opportunity to thrive.
From the foundational work of our K–2 teachers in building strong literacy and numeracy skills, to the dedication of our 3–8 educators guiding students through critical years of growth, and the commitment of our high school teachers preparing students for college, career, military, and life — every level has contributed to this year’s historic gains. This serves as evidence that our Title 1 schools are exceeding expectations and beating the odds by achieving high levels of student progress and academic success. The support of instructional coaches, reading specialists, interventionists, and all staff members has been instrumental in creating a culture where student achievement is possible for all.
Highlights from this year’s results include:
90% of all tested areas (SC Ready for grades 3-8 and EOCEP for grades 8-12) experienced an increase
83% of tested grade levels 3-8 experienced gains in SCReady ELA and SCReady Math.

100% improvement in all high school End-of-Course exams for students scoring C or better, including English 2, Algebra 1, Biology 1, and US History.

3 students received dual associate degrees.
87.6% district graduation rate is the highest ever recorded.
SC Superintendent of Education, Ellen Weaver gave a shout out to Lancaster County School District at the South Carolina Association of School Administrators conference in June noting that Lancaster County School District has an absolute value of less than 13% of students scoring “does not meet” and is on the short list for making progress towards the state goal of 75% of proficiency (meets or exceeds) in reading.
These results reflect the power of teamwork — students, families, teachers, staff, and the community working together. We are proud of what has been accomplished and remain committed to ensuring every child continues to grow, achieve, and thrive.
Together, we are living out our vision: “One Lancaster: All In for All Students in All Areas of the county , All of the time.”
