Wellness Week April 27th-

Lancaster County Schools will be celebrating Wellness Week April 27th through May 1st. Students and staff are encouraged to participate in the following dress up days:

  • Monday (April 27) is Write it out Monday and we encourage students to write kind notes or to write their thoughts down before acting. This day we encourage wearing blue and yellow to symbolize kindness.

  • Tuesday (April 28) is Thinking Cap Tuesday and is meant to remind students to pause and think before they act. We encourage everyone to wear a hat on this day.

  • Wednesday (April 29) is It's okay to not be okay Wednesday where we encourage students to realize that not everyday has to be perfect and off days are okay. We encourage wearing mismatched clothes on this day.

  • Thursday (April 30) is Coping skill Thursday and this day is meant to remind students about calming strategies they can utilize (breathing, counting, drawing, writing, etc.). On this day we encourage calming colors to be worn.

  • Finally, Friday (May 1) is Feel good Friday, where we are emphasizing the importance of self care not only for our students, but for our staff as well. We encourage everyone to wear comfy clothes on this day.

Here are a few important reminders.  All clothing must be school appropriate and fit the dress code.  Hats may only be worn if they match the theme.  No coverings may be worn over your face (no masks, sunglasses, etc).  Pajamas are not allowed per the school dress code.
