SC READY exams will be held for all grades on May 6, 8, 13, and 14. 6th grade students will also participate in a science exam on May 16. Algebra 1 students will take their end-of-course exam on May 20. Please remind your child to charge his/her chromebook each evening. It is vital that all students are present and on-time to school each day. Students who miss exams will be placed on a make-up roster. In addition, please remind your child that electronic devices such as cell phones and Smart watches must be powered off and placed in backpacks during testing. Test questions are secure, so students cannot share information about test questions before, during or after these exams. Doing so is a violation of test security.
We are excited to announce SC Ready incentives tomorrow at school and they will also be sent home in the newsletter tomorrow. We want everyone to do their best on the end of year assessments.
The last day to check out books this school year is Friday, May 9. All library books should be turned in no later than Friday, May 16. Books that have been damaged or lost will need to be paid for.

Monday, April 28th is the last day to purchase a ticket for the 8th Grade Formal. Cost for a ticket is $10. The formal is this Saturday, May 3, from 5:00 -7:00 in the AJMS cafeteria.
Cheer tryouts will be April 28th, 29th, and 30th. Any rising 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out must have a current physical and a completed tryout packet. Tryouts will be from 3:45 - 5:30 in the middle school gym.

Members of the AJMS Chorus and Band will be traveling to Carowinds for the Festival of Music on Tuesday. They will perform for a panel of National Judges. Best wishes to these students!

We are excited to announce that Lancaster County School District has partnered with OSP by Edlio to provide our schools with an online payment platform! Schools are adding products to their web stores such as field trips, t-shirts, after school programs, etc. To check out the district's OSP by Edlio website and the individual school stores, visit https://osp.osmsinc.com/LancasterSC/.

We are having an after-school DANCE on Friday, April 4th and tickets are $5! This is open to all students 6-8 grades. The dance will begin after-school and end at 5:30 pm. All students who attend the dance must be picked up at 5:30 in the main car rider line. Tickets for the DANCE will be on sale during lunches on Monday-Thursday (March 31st-April 3rd) for $5. There will be concessions available (pizza, candy and drinks) during the DANCE. Hope to see everyone there.
