🎉💙 Our PTO is better than yours! 💙🎉 Our PTO is absolutely incredible! From duty free lunch, to classroom volunteering, to treating our complete staff to King of Fire...the list goes on and on and on! We are truly so grateful for these amazing people who love supporting us and taking care of us and our school. They do so much for our staff, students and community EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Thank you all so much for duty free lunch today and King of Fire to feed us! We love y'all! 💙💛🎉

🎉 Tomahawk of the Week 🎉 Congratulations to Mr. Quinten for being our Tomahawk of the Week! "Mr. Quinten is as friendly as they come. He is always willing to help out and does a great job keeping our school in tip-top shape. Not only is he a hard worker, but he also loves talking about sports and musicals. We sure are lucky to have Q at our school." Congratulations Mr. Q! 💙💛

Our tiny Tomahawks were in awe of how tall they are! 🤣 They are having a stellar start to their season! JV & Freshman teams play at 6:15pm and Varsity at 7:30pm TONIGHT all at HOME! Go out and support our Warrior Family!

Ms. Martins' Third Grade Eagles created holiday cards for soldiers who are currently deployed and will be spending the holidays away from their families. They each also wrote a letter to accompany their cards! The soldiers serve under the nephew of Ms. Martins. Her nephew said he is sure all of his men will enjoy reading the cards and letters. This gives us all the feels! 💙💛 We are so proud of our Third Grade Tomahawks! ❤️❤️

To say we are so incredibly thankful is the understatement of the year! LOOK AT ALL THESE PIES! 🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧 A huge THANK YOU to our Tomahawk families for providing each staff member a delicious pie today! 🎉 Tomahawk of the Week 🎉 Congratulations to Mr. Ryder for being our Tomahawk of the week! "I am so inspired by how cool, calm and collected he always seems to be. My students look forward to going to music every week and count down the days before his class. He has done so much work to bring arts and music experiences to Harrisburg and beyond. Between coordinating the fall festival, caroling songs, and bringing new dance and readers theatre curriculum to our school, I wish that I were able to have him as my music teacher when I was a kiddo! Mr. Ryder is one cool cat and Harrisburg would not be the same without him." Congratulations again Mr. Ryder!

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has NOTHING on our First Grade Tomahawks! Check out First Grade's Balloons on Broadway! Students designed their own balloons and then were able to parade them through the hall to show them off! Creative, smart, and adorable are just three ways to describe our first graders!

Our Second Grade Tomahawks were able to visit Anne Springs to further learn about Matter! It was an extension on their science unit on solids, liquids, and gasses! The students made hypotheses about how much different objects weighed. They used a scale to actually weight them! It was a super cool & hands on field trip!

Ms. Cundiff's Kindergarten Class read the book Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert. They then took a nature walk to find the perfect leaves to make their very own leaf man/animal! So super cute! 🍁💙💛

🦃 We gobbled 'til we wobbled! 🦃 A huge THANK YOU to our AMAZING Cafeteria staff for serving us a delicious traditional Thanksgiving Meal today! They work so hard to feed us! We are so thankful for our Cafeteria Staff! 💙💛

Master O's Taekwondo brought the Dojang to HES! Our Tiny Tomahawks had the best time all while learning about respect and integrity. Thank you, Master O for all you do for our Tomahawks and this community! 🥋💙💛

She is a ray of sunshine every day, and her excitement for teaching is contagious. Her dedication and desire to do her best for every child in her class is evident in everything she does. She is a true professional who radiates such joy as a teacher as she works with her sweet kindergarten class. It was a perfect day for the ILHS ROTC to join us in our car rider line this morning! They were so much fun and we loved having them visit our classrooms! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

"The love and care Mrs. Cernovsky shows for not only her students, but all students in the building, is inspiring. Mrs. Cernovsky consistently goes above and beyond for the kids in her class and truly makes learning fun and engaging for all. She pours her heart into teaching and is constantly reflecting to ensure she is doing everything she can to meet the needs of each student in her room. This morning our PTO made a trip to the bus office to deliver snacks, drinks and lots of Harrisburg LOVE and smiles to our amazing bus drivers!! Thank you, PTO for making sure all of the Harrisburg Staff feels special and loved and THANK YOU to our bus drivers for ALL YOU DO!! You guys are the real heros and we appreciate YOU!!!
