Testing Updates and Announcements

Good afternoon Warrior Family, this is Rick Parker, Principal of Indian Land High School, calling with some important information as we move to the end of the school year.

·        Please check out my inspirational video to the Class of 2025 “Are you going to cross the finish line?”

·        The 2024-25 Yearbook Release Day Party will be Wednesday, 5/21 instead of 5/15 due to the yearbooks not arriving until the following week.

·        The last day for seniors is Tuesday, May 20th if they are exempt from their final exam and have not missed more than six days in any class (three days for Government, Economics, Personal Finance, Health Science, and Driver's Ed).

·        If a senior is not exempt from their teacher-made final exams, their teacher-made final exams are on Wednesday, May 21th. If they have missed more than six days in a class and have not recovered the time, they must come to school to make up that seat time after May 21th. They will have until May 27th to complete any recovery needed.

·        Our EOC State Exams are on the following days:

o   May 13 – English II Writing

o   May 20 – U.S. History and Constitution

o   May 21 – Algebra I

o   May 22 – Biology I

o   May 23 – English II Reading

o   May 27  Make-up Day for EOC State Exams

§  EOC State Exams count 20% of the students final grade

§  EOC State Exams cannot be taken early

·        Underclassman Teacher-made Final Exams are on the following days:

o   May 27 – 1st and 2nd period Exam – full day for students

o   May 28 – 3rd and 4th period Exam – full day for students

o   Make-up Teacher-made Exam Days are May 29th  and May 30th

§  No early teacher-made exams will be given. If a student misses their Teacher-made final exam, a zero will be placed in PowerSchool. If a student has special circumstances and cannot attend their teacher-made final exams, they should contact their grade level administrator.

·        Dr. Heyward – 9th grade

·        Ms. Monteith/Mr. Wenger – 10th grade

·        Ms. Eaddy/Ms. Merrill – 11th grade

·        Mr. Horton – 12th grade
