Dear Indian Land High and 8th Grade Parents and Students,
As we finalize our planning for the 2026-2027 school year, it is time for a final review of your student’s course requests. This is a critical step to ensure your student is on the right path for their academic goals.
Please follow the steps below to access requests via a computer or web browser, as the mobile app may not display the full details required for this process.
How to View Course Requests
To see the courses currently selected for next year, please log in through the PowerSchool Portal:
Go to the PowerSchool Website: Navigate to the district’s PowerSchool URL on your computer.
Log In: Enter your student or parent username and password.
Find 'Class Registration': On the left-hand navigation menu, click the Class Registration icon.
Review the List: You will see the list of courses requested for the 26-27 school year.
Please Note: These are requests only and are not a guaranteed schedule. Final schedules depend on course availability and master scheduling constraints.

Exciting Opportunities for 8th Graders
We are pleased to announce that rising 9th graders now have the opportunity to take English 1 Honors and/or Geometry with Statistics Honors.
Eligibility: Participation is based on recommendations from current teachers.
Action Needed: Interested students should submit the change form below.
How to Request a Change (Final Window)
This is the final opportunity to make changes to course requests. If a course appears on your request list and is successfully scheduled, you will be required to remain in that class for the duration of the term.

Deadline: All changes must be submitted by Tuesday, March 10th, at 4:10 PM. ---
The Recommendation & Override Process
Once the change form window closes, teachers will review the lists to provide their professional recommendations.
Teacher Review: Teachers (8th grade through High School) will confirm if the requested level (College Prep vs. Honors or AP) is the best academic fit.
Counselor Outreach: If a teacher’s recommendation differs from what you requested, a school counselor will call the parent/guardian during the week of March 23rd.
Override Option: During that call, counselors will offer an Override Form if you wish to proceed with your original choice despite the teacher’s recommendation.
