Yesterday, the 4th-grade musical students visited the Belk Theater in Charlotte to enhance their stage experience and learn about musicals and productions from industry professionals. While there, they had the opportunity to perform a number from our musical, Aladdin! Ms. Hester is a terrific teacher that has a natural ability to engage her students and push their learning forward. You can ask her about any kid at any time and she can tell you about their academic, behavioral, social needs without missing a beat. She builds great relationships with students and families and has been a solid, reliable presence in our building for years! She has a great sense of humor and a heart for the profession. The fact that she is an almost famous tik toker is just icing on the cake....

Thats a wrap on our 2025 musical! Aladdin was definitely a magical performance! We are so proud of the cast and crew for a great run! The countless hours of preparation, the commitment of everyone involved, the natural abilities of our kids.....the list goes on! Please tell your kids how proud we are of them...To Mr. Ryder, Mr. Rovnyak, Ms. Wheeler, Ms. Morgan, Ms, Dudla, and Ms. Stapleton...thank you for your time and your efforts to make memories for a lifetime for our kids! Can't WAIT for next year!

Parents! We are so excited to see you at Aladdin the Musical this week. As we head into a busy season of events, here are a few reminders to help us get you in the building as quickly and seamlessly as possible
1 - scan the QR code below and purchase your tickets now! You will receive an email that you will need to show for entry.
2 - This is a CLEAR BAG event. Please only bring clear bags and/or small wristlets (see flyer below)
3 - Be ready to go through security when you get here. Leave large bags, excessive jewelry, belts, smartwatches, cell phones and belts at home. These items will need to be removed before going through the metal detectors.
4 - Get here early! Doors will open around 6:00!
5 - Come ready for a great show!
We are excited to announce that Lancaster County School District has partnered with OSP by Edlio to provide our schools with an online payment platform! Schools are adding products to their web stores such as field trips, t-shirts, after school programs, etc. To check out the district's OSP by Edlio website and the individual school stores, visit https://osp.osmsinc.com/LancasterSC/.
The district continues to allow cash and check payments, if that is your preference.
Don't miss the chance to see these talented kids in action this week! Aladdin, the Musical is showing, and you won't want to miss it! Catch one of the performances on Wednesday at 3:30, Thursday at 6:30, or Friday at 6:30!

We know it's pretty obvious that this is HIS week...but honestly, he is literally the greatest showman of all time. Look out Hugh Jackman....Jeremy is not only an awesome music teacher, but is truly a jack of all trades. If it can be done, he does it. And he does it spectacularly. The musical is going to be epic. The kids are LOVING it. He has an amazing crew working with him and their hard work is paying off for sure! Beyond the musical, he is just truly one of the good ones. His class is fun and engaging for students and his relaxed and calming presence is great for our kids. We are so happy to have him on our team!

Mrs. Ungar is an absolutely terrific teacher. She works incredibly hard to make sure that her kids are learning and being challenged. She deals with unexpected and expected challenges seamlessly and has a natural ability to ensure that every child feels safe, loved, and is ready to learn. She is a tremendous asset to our team and we are thrilled she is a Tomahawk!

Mrs. Deering is the "first face" of Harrisburg Elementary School! You see her at the front desk when you enter the building, always smiling and willing to help however she can! Those of us that have the pleasure of working with her every day see all the things she does "behind the scenes". The extra pair of hands to help a teacher, the encouraging word on the tough days, the never ending operation of our awesome book vending machine, and so much more! She is a great addition to our team and we are so happy to have her as a Tomahawk!
