Check out this weeks Tomahawk of the Week, Mrs. Ashley Brecheisen!
This week's Tomahawk Teacher of the Week is Ashley Brecheisen! Mrs. Brecheisen is a tremendous teacher and works hard for her students daily. She has created a strong and supportive learning environment for her students! Mrs. Brecheisen's leadership has also become evident in many ways, including planning field trips for the 4th Grade. This past week, our 4th Graders were able to venture out to Anne Springs Greenway for learning outside of the classroom. Even in the face of weather events, she was able to work with Anne Springs and our staff to reschedule dates so that students wouldn't be impacted by losing out on an amazing opportunity.Thank you for your hard work and dedication to Harrisburg Elementary School! We are so glad you are on our team!
Congratulations, Mrs. Brecheisen! As this week's winners, you will receive a $25 gift card to Super Chix in Indian Land and a certificate for a session at Perspire Sauna Studio! Thank you Super Chix Perspire for your support!

Congratulations to our regional spelling bee participant, Rishaan! He made it to the top 10, with 7 contestants being eliminated in the same round, leaving only 3 for the final round to determine the winner. Rishaan was among the last 5 remaining in the competition.
His words were: rubric, foible, olfactory, Tinseltown, and stein. He was eliminated on the word “stein,” where he mistakenly spelled it as “stien.”
Special shoutout to Ayushman and Prateeksha, the other former Tomahawks who were also in the district’s top 5 and made it to the top 10 alongside Rishaan!
We are so proud of all of our students who represented Tomahawk Nation so well!

4th grade students were visited yesterday by students from ILHS STEAM club. The ILHS students performed several science experiments for the students including Elephant toothpaste, placing a bamboo skewer through an inflated balloon without bursting it and inflating a balloon using baking soda and vinegar. Students also saw an experiment called dancing raisins where raisins were placed in a cup of soda and “danced”. The highlight of the day was when the students got to see a robot in action in the 4th grade hallway.
Thank you, ILHS for visiting!!
