Her students worked on a "Genius Project" where they got to use any topic they had learned about thus far, and then dive even deeper into it. Then they created a unique way to teach the class, including with songs, skits, legos, posters and presentations!
Thank you so much for sharing, Ms. Jollie!

She writes: "My classes have been learning about the Industrial Revolution all week! They were assigned an activity to prove which was faster: to produce goods to sell the cottage industry out of one's home, or the assembly line? They worked as “factories” and had two minutes to see how many paper airplanes each factory could produce in the time one person could produce out of their home. Well, their predictions were right, the assembly line/ factory produce between 8-10 within the 2 minutes while the cottage industry only averaged 2-3. They had fun working together at the job each of them were assigned! "
Thank you for sharing Ms. Arner!

This is a great lifeskill, great work everyone! Enjoy your Saturday, Warriors!

"Our young geologists had a sweet time exploring Rocks and Minerals this week! 🪨🍫
To bring the rock cycle to life, students compared a regular Hershey's Bar with a Snickers bar. They took a closer look at the Snickers, observing its delicious layers and making connections to how sedimentary rocks form in visible layers over time.
Next, they applied heat and pressure using their hands to transform their “rock” into a metamorphic stage—just like rocks change deep within the Earth!
Finally, we microwaved the chocolate to demonstrate melting and cooling, modeling how igneous rocks are formed."
LOVE IT!!!!
Learning has never been so hands-on—or so tasty! 🍫✨

These photos may look like photos of tables. They might even look like photos of Ms. Arrowood's 6th Grade math students working hard at tables. Actually, that's exactly what these photos show. 🤔🤣
But did you know these images also display a huge chunk of the Boosterthon dollars at work?! Our outdoor classroom is really starting to come together and it couldn't happen at a better time! The weather is gorgeous, and it provides students and staff another space to learn and thrive!
Thank you for your donations, and thank you to PTO for getting them ordered! We also want to thank district office for sending a crew over to help us get these assembled!
Have a great night, Warriors!

Our 5th grade ELA teachers will use the funds to purchase class sets of fantasy novels. The fantasy novel unit is one of the most highly anticipated and beloved units in 5th grade. It takes place toward the end of the school year and serves as an engaging way to review standards in preparation for state testing. These books will help increase student engagement, strengthen comprehension skills, and reinforce core 5th grade standards.
Congratulations again to Ms. Hensley! 🎉💙💛

Thank you so much for your support, Warriors!

Ms. Patterson writes, "We are working on active listening skills. In this activity, partners sat back to back with a sheet of paper that had drawings of six objects on it. Each person had to explain to their partner how to draw their objects. The partner had to listen and ask questions to figure out how to make their drawing look like what their partner was describing."
Thanks for sharing, this is awesome!

Thanks for sharing, Ms. Harwood!

Now that March is officially here- we have a message from our Ms. Norton, 6th Grade ELA Teacher! PS: Weekly winners get free ice cream on Thursdays, and ALL Champion Classes get a pizza party!!!
🏀📚 MARCH MADNESS… but make it ACADEMIC. 😎🔥
It’s officially game time in our classroom and the competition is ON! Our students are going head-to-head in our March Madness i-Ready Challenge — where the brackets are set, the energy is high, and the only thing getting dunked is unfinished lessons. 💪📈
Each completed lesson = points for their team.
Passing lessons = bonus bragging rights.
Staying focused = championship mindset. 🏆
We’re talking buzzer-beater growth, underdog comebacks, and some serious main-character energy happening during math and reading time. 👀✨
Families, you can cheer from the sidelines by encouraging your student to give their best effort and complete those i-Ready lessons at home if needed. Every minute counts in this academic showdown!
May the sharpest minds win! 🧠🔥 #MarchMadness #iReadyChallenge #ClassroomCompetition #FutureChampions

Enjoy the rest of your day, Warrior Families! Don't forget to find a way to spread some sunshine of your own to someone you love!

This has been a really fun two-week project for our students, and we appreciate her sending photos so we can share it with all of you, too!

She writes: ""Meet Penelope, Mohawk, Matilda, & Chester!
Throughout the year, we have been learning about different animals…February lead us to chickens 🐓
We were fortunate enough to get 12 Silkie Chicken eggs 🥚 & we began the process of incubating them. We kept them in the incubator for 19 days & once 19 days came, we transferred them to the flat surface so they could hatch a few days later 🐣 we learned the life cycle, labeling a chicken, and making a life cycle book.
Monday, my sweet kiddos got to see these chicks 🐥 hatch & they were so amazed. They got to see their new home in the brooder box & how they walk around, snuggle, feed, & drink water.
This has been my most favorite animal unit this year & it has been the sweetest seeing the kiddos excitement when they got to hold their sweet chicks 🐥"

We are looking back to Ms. Robert's class learning about Martin Luther King, Jr.! They did a MLK Jr. Scavenger Hunt!
Great work, students! And enjoy our weekend, Warriors! Can you believe it's already March tomorrow?!
