As we approach Black History Month, we are excited to share our festivities! Our theme for the month is "The Power of Education - Removing Barriers Creating Trailblazers". We hope to express to our students the power of education and its limitless possibilities. WEEK ONE'S theme is leadership. 2/4 - Students & Staff will dress "for the future" by dressing for success. 2/4 - Several young adults will lead a panel discussion entitled "Lessons in Choices, Challenges, and Connections". 2/7 - Motivational speaker Mr. Kino Benton will speak on leadership skills and becoming a trailblazer in today's society. We will also provide note-worthy quotes during the morning announcements. Our library staff has created numerous library book displays and is offering a book club opportunity.
